All Saints' Academy - Beginning to Build the Future
The turf cutting ceremony for the new building for All Saints’ Academy Cheltenham took place on 6 May 2010. This was an exciting milestone for the academy, which is due to open in September 2011 in new buildings.
All Saints’ Academy, Cheltenham was one of CASL’s first projects and we are delighted that the vision and careful planning of its sponsors have now begun to take physical shape.

The Bishop of Gloucester, the Rt Revd Michael Perham, and the Roman Catholic Bishop of Clifton, the Rt Revd Declan Lang, blessed the beginning of the construction work. They were joined in the turf cutting ceremony by Gloucestershire County Councillor Jackie Hall, Cabinet Member for Schools.
All Saints’ Academy will specialise in science and sport and is sponsored by the Anglican Diocese of Gloucester and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Clifton. The sponsors’ vision is to build a first class educational facility for the young people and the entire community of Cheltenham.
Among other facilities, the Academy will have a multi-use, all weather, synthetic sports pitch, a fitness suite and a chapel. Many of the Academy’s facilities will be used by the community outside of school hours, so it will serve and provide facilities for everyone in its area and inspire and stimulate achievement.
